Figure of Eight Pools - 13 March

I have done most of my walking in the Blue Mountains and decided to try a walk in a different area. This walk is in the Royal National Park and is part of the coastal track. We parked the car at Otford's lookout and proceeded along the well defined track that follows the coast. It was an easy walk and we saw several other walkers. We went through Palm Jungle, walked some more and came to a low flat rock ledge that extends out to the ocean. After walking around for a few minutes we came across the figure of eight pools. We stopped and tool a few photographs and then decided to walk Northward for a bit longer. We came across a club surf event at a beach shortly after the pools. We walked along the beach but did not go around the headland north of the beach. We then retraced out steps and returned to Otford. There are supposed to be many deer in this park but I only saw one deer on this walk.
